Maria Council Information

Maria Council has been proudly serving the Catholic community of Park Ridge, Illinois for nearly 50 years. Over one hundred sixty-five members of Maria Council, led by Grand Knight Cristov Dosev and Deputy Grand Knight Rick Biagi, serve the Mary, Seat of Wisdom and St. Paul of the Cross Parishes.

Maria Council Meetings

Maria Council conducts its general business meeting on the second Thursday of each month, 7:30pm at the Parish Life Center, St. Paul of the Cross Parish in Park Ridge, Illinois. For a complete list of Maria Council activities and events, please visit our Activities Page.

About Maria Council

Maria Council actively supports the Catholic community of Park Ridge and the greater Chicagoland area through a variety of fraternal and charitable activities, including its annual MR/LD Tootsie Roll Drive to support mentally handicapped individuals. Each year, Maria Council brings Catholic families together at its annual Fish Frys, Family Picnic and its Keep Christ in Christmas Concert. With monies raised from such events, Maria Council gives back to the community by supporting organizations that focus on promoting Catholic family values, aid to our men and women of the armed forces, Pro-Life efforts, and assistance to those with mental disabilities, just to name a few.

Maria Council is a regular recipient of the Star Council Award and the Holy Grail Award for exemplary efforts in reaching and far exceeding its membership and charitable goals. Much of Maria Council’s recent success can be attributed to Past Grand Knight Henry Jarosz and his excellent leadership of this fast growing council.
